Maria joined Title Alliance, LTD in 2017 as Regional Director for the Mid Atlantic. In 2019, Maria was promoted to General Counsel and Compliance Officer where she is responsible for all of the company’s legal and business elements in all operations as well as supervising and directing underwriting, compliance reports and best practices along with overseeing SOC 1 and SOC 2 reporting and other compliance endeavors. Further, she is responsible for structuring our compliance educational series to assure continued learning among our team members. Maria serves on key industry leadership committees including ALTA Liasion Committee with the NAIC, ALTA Title Counsel Committee, ALTA Government Affair Committee (GAC), ALTA State Legislative/Regulatory Action Committee (SLRAC) as well as the RESPRO Board, RESPRO Policy Committee, and RESPRO Federal and State Issues Committee.

Maria has a Master of Arts in Journalism and Bachelor in Music from the University of Iowa and her Juris Doctor degree from American University Washington College of Law.

In 2019, Maria worked with Project Sweet Peas where she assembled care packages for newborns in the NICU.
